So why do I post rules on play calling, because this is a simulation style league where realism is the name of the game:

Offense Side of the Ball:

We need to keep things balanced (doesn’t mean a 50/50 ratio, because some teams run more while others pass more) Good rule of thumb is 60/40 ratio, but even then you have game situations that dictate other things.

Examples:

Normal Game: 60/40 ratio doesn’t matter if you are a running team or passing team

Losing Game: Well if you are down a lot or trying to make that 4th QTR comeback passing mostly is expected

Winning Game: Well if you are winning game big or trying to run those last few minutes off the clock then running the ball mostly is expected.

Defense Side of the Ball:

Once again we trying to keep things balanced (doesn’t mean a 50/50 ratio, because some teams blitz more while others play more zone and coverage schemes). No real ratio to go by just try to balance it a little bit.

1- Lose the player(s) from your roster
2- Be penalized up to 3 players for up to 3 games
3- Have your games simulated up to 3 games

4- Any combination of the above
5- All the way up to removal from league (extreme cases only)
